Weekend Gateway: Trip to Murudeshwar

Here I am going to review and share my experience about my trip to Murudeshwar. This was the part of our trip to Gokarna. Overall it is a nice place with a beautiful temple and clean and well maintained  beach.

Travel– We traveled from Gokarna, the distance is 70 km approximately. But there were lots of diversions on the way to Murudeshwar from Gokarna.

Lunch@Naveen Beach Restaurant Murudeshwar- We ordered a North Indian Thali . All the preparations were tasty and the blend of spices was very mild. I would recommend this if you visit Murudeshwar. They have wide varieties in the menu, they serve south Indian food on the ground floor, rest of  varieties are served on the first and second floor.

Site Seeing@ Murudeshwar Temple and cave.-Temperature was hot and the queue at the temple was long so we skipped the temple darshan. Towards the right side of the temple , there is a huge Shiva statue with a cave. Entry fee is Rs.10. Do not forget to grab an icecream just before the staircase there, to beat the heat. 😉

Here you can keep your foot wears, they charge Rs.10 per basket

Murudeshwar Beach- It is clean but very crowded beach, the best part here is that you can drive on the beach , parking is located at the beach.

Overall a nice place to visit, view of the sea is great from the back side of the cave statue and view from the beach is definitely worth watching. Do visit this place once at least.
