Review: Rimmel London Exaggerate Eye Definer 230 Deep Ocean

Hi Everyone,

Today’s post is my take on Rimmel London Exaggerate Eye Definer 230 Deep Ocean. and had bought from SIS counter in Westside. Rimmel London products are not easily available in India, although I spot them online on few beauty stores but then buying products without swatching or trying them seems to be a bit of risk. I also bought two Rimmel Apocalips lip lacquers in shade celestial and nova 😀

About the product: Its a blue eye liner in retractable pen. Pigmentation is really nice and 1-2 swipes are good enough to get intense color on the eyes. Texture is buttery and glides on smoothly on the eye lids without tugging. But its buttery texture becomes a con for me as I have oily lids. If applied on lids directly, it stays for decent amount of time but budges down to the lower eye area and gives a bad look. I need to clean the product from under eye using wet tissue but if applied with a nude eyeshadow then it does not budge and stays really good on the eyelids.

The other downside of this product is that the tip breaks of easily. So one needs to be careful to take out little product out of the retractable pen. I have not used it on the waterline for the reason that it smudges easily so I am not sure how it works on the waterline. But it does sting or irritate the eyes if applied on the eyelids. Shelf life is also good and is three years. It is priced at Rs. 345 for 0.28 gms of product.

Overall, this product is okay, nothing much impressive. Although I really love its blue color but since it has not worked for me as it smudges, I will not repurchase it. Here are the swatches of it.
