Review: Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Creams

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing my review on Miss Claire soft matte lip creams which are so hyped and trending these days. I bought a few shades from a Betty store in Andheri West and few from a local beauty store in Marol, Andheri East. These lip creams are numbered and not named. I have got six of them viz. 05,08,11,15A,17A and 30 😀

About the product: They are believed to be dupes of NYX soft matte lip creams. I have not used NYX ones so can not compare both. However these lip creams are very soft in texture and settle to matte finish in few seconds after application. They feel a bit uncomfortable but not much, I feel like licking my lips often :-p.

But I have found a way to make it work, I apply a layer of Organic Harvest lip balm and then apply lip cream on top of it. This way the lip cream does not feel uncomfortable on the lips. Pigmentation is very good, 1 swipe is enough to get opaque application.

The product has a mild vallina/toffee kind of scent to it which honestly I do not like 😦 but it fades away in few seconds. Since it is matte it does settle into fine lines of lips so in case you have dry and chapped lips, make sure you exfoliate and moisture your lips very well before using it.

Staying Power: It stays for 2-3 hours on me and does not even survive a single meal 😦 because I have a habit of eating away my lipsticks along with the food :-p. I also felt that it crumbles some what in the center of the inner lips.

The biggest hit about these lip creams is their range of colors…so beautiful…they are to die for :-*. It can be combined with other lippies to make them matte and create custom shades. I love using them with other lippies and create custom shades :-D. These lip creams are priced at Rs.150-180 depending upon the store, some sell for 150 bucks and some for 180.

Overall verdict: Not much impressive in terms of quality, however for their price and color they are good options to reach for. Do give them a try!! 😀

Love,

Akanksha
