Kashmiri Food Phool Olu Hokh/Gobhi Aloo Sookhi/Spicy Cauliflower and Potato

Namaste,

I am sharing a kashmiri recipe,which is my favorite and is perfect with rotis,parathas and rice.

Ingredients required:

  1.  8-10 Cauliflowers florets medium.
  2. 2 potatoes cut into wedges.
  3.  1 tsp lal mirch/ Red chili powder
  4. 1/4 tsp haldi/ turmeric powder.
  5. 1/2 tsp dhania/coriander powder.
  6. 1/4 tsp saunf/fennel powder
  7. 1/4 tsp sonth/dry ginger powder
  8. 1/4 tsp garam masala
  9. 1/2 tsp kasuri methi powder/fenugreek powder
  10. 1 tsp salt
  11. 1/2 tsp zeera/cumin seeds.
  12. 2 cloves
  13. 2 pinches of asafoetida.
  14.  3-4 tbsp cooking oil

Cooking Method:

Heat oil in a pan add zeera, asafoetida, cloves, cauliflower florets and potato wedges.

Stir fry till it turns golden brown and soft.(approximately 10 minutes)

Add all the spices and mix well.

Add 1 cup of water and boil for 5 minutes or till the gravy is dried.
