Weekend Gateway: The Western Ghats

Hi Everyone,

As our weekend trip continues to explore new places, we decided to explore Saputara this time. On our way we got to enjoy the beauty of Western Ghats aka Sahyadri Hills. Mountains were lush green and so was the meadow. Tiny waterfalls added to the beauty of Western Ghats. So if you want to plan a day’s outing, you can take Mumbai Nashik highway to spend a day in the beauty of nature and enjoy the lush green beauty of Western Ghats.

So we started around 10.30 am from our home in Andheri and as Google Chacha told us that the journey would take 4.30 hrs. Idea was about to reach by 3.30 to 4.00 PM and then explore the beauty of Western Ghats for 2-3 hrs on first day. But as we all know Mumbai Traffic is just like Monsoon and can spoil the excitement at any moment; so was ours as we were stuck on Mumbai Nashik highway.

So finally we came out from the traffic around 12.45 PM and paced up our car. Soon we reached Nashik Highway which is most beautiful during monsoon season. Seeing the beauty of nature, we felt a little relaxed and clicked some snaps.  We also took our quick brunch (fried rice)which was prepared by Mr.Husband.

We reached Nashik at around 3.00 PM and then took Saputara route which was still 80 Kms away from our location. As the hills started from district “Dang”, weather became very pleasant.  Finally we reached Saputara at around 5.15 PM and by that time, it was quite and dusky. Will share detailed post about Saputara visit in next post. Stay tuned! :-D.
