Review: Colorbar Nail Enamel Remover

Hi Everyone,

Today I am going to review Colorbar nail enamel remover. I think this is the only remover which I have tried other than Lakme one. I had been using the traditional Lakme nail polish remover from ages…decades :-p. This time I thought of trying a new brand so after some googling, stumbled upon Colorbar nail polish remover.

So now the review part…Packaging is of plastic and cap is screw based. Unlike glass bottle, you can easily play with it without worrying about bottle damage. But its packaging is not spill proof. I had carried it along while travelling and it ruined the case of my Makeup Revolution palette. Not sure if the cap was closed properly but now I am afraid to carry it along other makeup products. I should pack it separately now.

It does remove the nail polish effectively but its definitely not heavy duty remover. For some nail paints which stain for e.g. Maybelline color show cleaning needs to be done twice thrice. However when I removed LYN nail polish, it came off easily. Its priced at Rs. 125 for 110 ml…price is good for the quantity offered. Shelf life is also decent with 3 years of best before.

Product is transparent in color and has some scent to it. Does not sting like Lakme or typical acetone based remover..may be for the fact that it is acetone free. Company also claims to have protein and vitamin B5 in the product. Not sure on the effectiveness but it definitely does leave that white cast on nails nor does make them look dry and lifeless.

Overall, this an okay product. Gotta try more brands of nail remover.

Love,
